Hey, I'm Gillian!
I'm a Toronto-based product designer with a passion for inclusive, accessible and sustainable experiences. I love tackling complex problems by asking questions and investigating further through research.
I believe in the importance of balancing business goals while building seamless product experiences that are driven by user research and a human-centred design process.
My joy for problem-solving started back in middle school, where I was tasked to design and build a miniature bridge with some of my classmates. In high school, I went to Xerox for Take Your Kids to Work Day. During that time, I got the chance to research, design, prototype and test a parachute concept.
Currently, I’m working at Canada Energy Regulator, where I am improving digital tools within the federal government. Before that, I have worked at the startup, agency and enterprise levels. This has allowed me to thrive working with different stakeholders throughout the end-to-end product lifecycle.
When I'm not designing, I enjoy attending community meetups, camping, hiking, painting and learning new things.
